Lisa Jackson has been competing in sports at the highest levels for over 20 years. She began Tae Kwon-do in 1998 whilst studying at Bradford University, training with Great Britain Coach, Mr Kenny Walton (7th Dan) whom is still her instructor in Bradford, Scunthorpe and Thorne. In April 2002, Mrs Jackson achieved her 1st Dan, advancing to 2nd Dan 2 years later in April 2004, and then to 3rd Dan in October 2007.

Mrs Jackson has been extremely successful on both the Tae Kwon-do and freestyle circuits throughout her martial arts career. In 2004 she won the European Championship and in 2005 she took a 2nd in the World Championships, before becoming British Champion for the 2nd time. Overall she has gained over 100 awards mainly in sparring, but also in patterns and destruction events. Mrs Jackson was also a Great Britain squad member for several years, before retiring in March 2006.

Mrs Jackson also runs self-defence classes for local organisations to promote the importance of self-defence and self-defence awareness.

Mrs Jackson is backed by one of Britain's leading Taekwondo organisations the Taekwondo Association of Great Britain (TAGB) with over 250,000 members and 600 clubs to date. It is a founder member of the British Taekwondo Council, which is recognised by the British Sports Council.
